I was working on a startup that was an early mobile payment platform. It was basically using Bluetooth and an app on PalmPilots to do wireless payments in restaurants. And actually, one of the restaurants burned down and took our whole prototype with us, and that was pretty much the end of that company.

The company raised a monster $60M Series A from Accel and Atomico with only one prior investor being Y Combinator. How did he see his decision-making process change post raise? They eventually sold the company to mobile interactive group, or MIG. . So we built it ourselves and that sort of kick started the entire company.
