Social strategy is often overlooked in favor of regular posting. So what is the best social media strategy to engage maximum people through content?

  1. Give the people what they want.
Look at the data. What’s getting the highest engagement rate? What are people sharing the most? Liking? Retweeting? Which leads to the most conversions on your website? The most sales?
  2. Follow the rules.
Create and share the right kind of content and meet all the requirements. Did you know that 85% of Facebook videos are watched without sound? That probably means that not only should your videos be engaging, they should probably also have text on the screen for users to make sense of the video without audio (and that would be readable on mobile).
  3. Boost.
I assume the question is asking what the best way to organically engage the maximum number of people through content is, but if you find that one piece of content is performing particularly high with your audience, it never hurts to throw some money behind it and see how it does with another audience (an audience that doesn’t already follow your page, that is).

Hope that helps!
