Episode 24: Assuming the Stack

Want to write sales emails like a pro?

Kristina and Will look at common email mistakes (using real examples) and rewrite them so that you can learn what to do differently.

Join Kristina Finseth (Sr. Manager, Outbound Growth Marketing at Greenhouse) and Will Allred (Co-Founder & COO at Lavender) to get TWO perspectives and TWO approaches on real sales emails, every week on Sales Hacker.

This week, William M. Ballance (Co-Founder & CEO at Lavender) joined us as our special co-host. Watch today’s re-write, and check out the before and after emails below.

Before:

Subject: Kristina, quick question

Would it be right to assume that Lavender uses a recruitment specific CRM system?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you do, I assume it’s because they are designed to aid recruitment firms like yours, improve processes & allow your staff/company to be more effective, resulting in more money for your business.

With that in mind, could you see the potential benefits of a firm like yours using a recruitment specific phone/telephony system?

If so, would you be open to a chat?

William’s Rewrite:

Subject: Recruiting Calls

Kristina,

Noticed Lavender is using Greenhouse.

When I talk to recruiting leaders, the one thing they wish they had better tracking on is calls. A lot happens there that goes under-reported.

Have you looked into any phone systems that integrate?

Will

Will’s Rewrite:

Subject: Greenhouse Call Tracking

Kristina,

Love that you’re already using Greenhouse. It’s a great tool for automating and keeping track of recruiting efforts.

From talking to recruiting leaders, phone calls still tend to slip through the cracks.

We built a system that integrates right in. Recruiting shops love it.

Open to checking it out?
